VE Day Commemoration at Dornoch War Memorial
As part of a national act of remembrance to mark VE Day, a short service was held at the Dornoch War Memorial on Thursday 8th May at 0900hrs. The service was led by Rev Simon Scott and Rev Carol Ann Porter, with Dornoch veterans proudly parading their colours. Wreaths were laid at the base of the memorial, followed by a two-minute silence in honour of those who served.
Thank you to everyone who attended and paid their respects. While the main VE Day commemorations for East Sutherland are focused in Golspie, Dornoch will host the VJ Day service on Thursday 15th August.
